This is the second blog post in the affirmations series. In the first introductory post I’ve shared my own experience with affirmations. Now I will explain to you what makes affirmations so effective and why I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.
Affirmations Are Really Easy to Use
You can repeat them in your mind anytime, anywhere. You don’t need any special conditions or requirements. All you need is to know what you want and to state it.
You can repeat affirmations on the street, in the car, in the subway, while shopping, cooking, showering or brushing your teeth, in your bed before sleep and upon waking up, while working out, while washing dishes or cleaning the house. You can even say them now.
They are so easy and effective and they don’t even require any extra time from you. You can find time to repeat them even if you are an extremely busy person.
There are absolutely no valid excuses you can find to skip your daily affirmations. I encourage you to use them as often as possible, because the more you state them, the faster they will be absorbed by your subconscious mind and generate the desired changes in your life.
Affirmations Replace the Negative Dialogue in Your Head
It is said that people have about 60.000 thoughts per day. That may be a bit difficult to measure, but if it’s true, than a lot of energy gets scattered around.
In order to create anything, you need to put your full attention to a specific task. The more thoughts you can focus in one direction, the faster your results will be.
While you repeat your affirmations, you physically cannot hold any other thought in your mind, which means that what you usually think is replaced by affirmations.
Most of the internal dialogue people have is negative or based in fear and repeating affirmations will effortlessly make those thoughts disappear. This by itself is a great improvement, because more positive thoughts will automatically occupy the mind.
Affirmations Don’t Interfere With the Creation Process
Did it ever occur to you that things never happen as you picture them in your mind? The visualization process has tremendous creative potential. Once you’ve visualized something, it has already taken a form and will never again repeat itself in the same way.
Of course, visualisation can help enhance the attraction process. It’s just that things will never turn out exactly as you envision them. They may be similar or close to what you’ve imagined, but never ever identical.
That’s because imagination is creation and creation is unique. Creation cannot be repeated in the same form, just as no single day is equal to another.
Try testing this just for fun: imagine with exact details how a situation will unfold today or in the near future. You can even try different scenarios, but all will be different from the actual outcome.
Affirmations are not like this. What you repeat in your head is really magnetic. Affirmations attract things exactly as you formulate them. I played with this quite a lot and I really enjoyed doing it with songs.
I used to wake up with certain songs in my head. Most of them were not really popular ones. I replayed them in my mind for some days in a row and after a while, I got to hear them somewhere.
The coolest experience I’ve had was with the song “Rome wasn’t built in a day”. It’s a really old song, which isn’t played on the radio anymore, so the probability of listening to it was very small. I remember after doing this exercise I heard it being sung on the college hallways by two girls. I was amazed by the endless possibilities of the Universe and the power of affirmations .
I only gave the example with the songs to illustrate the potential of affirmations. I strongly encourage you to try out this experiment for yourself. It’s really fun and you’ll be amazed by what you can do. Just make sure that you replay the song in your head long enough. You will hear it when you least expect to. And I bet you’ll never look at life as you did before.
Affirmations Get Absorbed by Your Subconscious Mind Very Quickly
“Repetitio mater studiorum est”. This means that the best way of learning is through repetition. The more you repeat something, the better you get at doing it.
Repetition enforces synaptic bonding between neurons and accelerates the transmission of information. Everything you master is absorbed by your subconscious mind and you can perform any related task without having to consciously think anymore.
Well, guess what, the same thing happens with affirmations. They eventually end up in your subconscious mind and become firmly embedded in your brain. And once the information reaches your subconscious, you can leave it on auto-pilot and still get the outcome you want.
The results are directly proportional to the effort you put in. The more energy you invest, the faster you will achieve your purpose. Affirmations are really your key to becoming unstoppable.
What Reasons Do You Have?
These are my reasons for using affirmations. I would also top that with all the wonderful results I got over the course of time. Now, what are your reasons? Why do you think affirmations are efficient? Let me know what you think and share your experiences in the comment section below.
